The Government of the Republic of Yemen has received several credits/loans from regional funding institutions for the construction of main road projects, and intends to apply part of the proceeds of these credits/loans to the consulting services contracts for the preparation of studies, designs and construction supervision of some of these road projects.
The Ministry of Public Works and Highways (MPWH), represented by the Internationally Funded Projects Implementation Unit (IFPIU), the executing agency, now invites eligible qualified consultants (firms and individuals) to submit their detailed profiles and indicate their interest in providing the consulting services in any the following fields:
• Preparation of feasibility studies (Techno Economical, Environmental, Social… etc.)
• Preparation of detailed engineering design of road projects
• Construction supervision and contract management of road projects
• Preparation of geotechnical/soil investigations
• Preparation hydrological studies
• Surveying works and mapping
• Construction supervision and contract management of road projects
• Capacity building, training and institutional strengthening
• Technical auditing
• Information technology and computer programming

Consultants should submit their Capability Profiles and provide all the required information supporting their interest for qualification in the any of the above mentioned fields of services (i.e. detailed brochure listing firm organization, official registration documents in their country/Yemen, main field of activity of the consultant and duration, list of past and current similar assignments, durations, qualifications and competencies of key staff in each field, annual volume of works/turnover -consultant’s financial capabilities- list of references for completed projects …etc.
Long Lists of consulting firms and individuals in each field of specialization will be established for future short listing, in accordance with the procedures set out in the Guidelines for the use of Consultants by the Development Institutions, Members of the Cooperation Group, First Edition, 1995.
